I love this book, well I love all of the Troika books. There is more than enough inspiration within this book to run a wonderfully disgusting series of adventures. What I love the most is that there is just enough to stoke your imagination but not so much that you feel bogged down, pun intended. I'd often find my mind wondering into the intentional spaces between the descriptions.
The art is amazing and evokotive. I can still see some of the images in my minds eye that's how good they are.
Get this book, then get all of the others too.
Excellent game bought it for use with Liminal Horror, the only thing I felt let the fever swamp collection was the cloth map. I feel it could be improved by making the cloth look slightly dirty.
This is a masterclass in hex crawl design, and a real challenge for players. Full of roleplaying potential and ideas for the GM to build on. I converted the game to the Forbidden Lands rules, but this contains everything you need to run an OD&D short campaign. Really well written, easy to use at the table, and great fun for the players and the GM.
